Abstract

A method and apparatus for facilitating high data rate transmissions in wireless communications. A method for a wireless device capable of receiving and transmitting signals includes: receiving a reference signal from a second wireless device over a communication channel; estimating the communication channel using the reference signal, selecting an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) based on the estimated communication channel ) pairs of quantizers and input profiles, and communicating information about the selected input profiles and ADC quantizers to the second wireless device.
