The brake apparatus comprises: a brake pedal which is rotationally arranged inside an automobile cab; a brake component which is driven by the brake pedal; and a rotational connecting rod which connects the brake component and the brake pedal. An emergency brake component is connected to the rotational connecting rod. The emergency brake component comprises a connecting rod, wherein two ends of the connecting rod are respectively hinged to the rotational connecting rod and a separating board inside the automobile cab. The middle part of the connecting rod is connected to a second hydraulic cylinder. The second hydraulic cylinder is connected to a third hydraulic cylinder through a hydraulic pipeline. The third hydraulic cylinder is electrically connected to a sensing device. In this way, by use of an additional emergency brake component which brings little refit workload and low cost, even a driver steps on an accelerator instead of a brake by mistake, the automobile can still be braked in time and thus traffic accidents are reduced.
