Embodiment Construction

[0069] figure 1 A first exemplary on-load tap changer 10 is shown in a cross-sectional view. An electrically insulating hollow housing 12 , for example made of fiberglass epoxy, surrounds and extends along an imaginary axis 14 . Several exemplary contact segments 16 , 18 , 20 , 22 are arranged along circular paths on the inner surface of the electrically insulating hollow housing 12 . An inner pole 27 having a radially oriented selector contact 24 with a radially inner end 26 and a radially outer end 28 is rotatable about the imaginary axis 14 . By rotation of the inner pole 27 , the radially outer end 28 of the selector contact 26 can be selectively connected to one of the contact sections 16 , 18 , 20 , 22 .

[0070] The contact section 22 is electrically connected to a cable 32 surrounded by an outer insulation 34 . The insulator 34 improves the insulation capability between adjacent cables 32 on the outside of the electrically insulating hollow housing 12 . The cable 3...

Abstract

The invention is related to an on-load tap-changer (10, 40, 60, 80) for dry transformers, comprising an electric insulating hollow casing (12, 62) extending around a virtual axis (14, 70), wherein several electric contact sections (16, 18, 20, 22) are foreseen along a path on the inner surface of the hollow casing (12, 62), which are electrically joined through the wall of the hollow casing (12, 62) and a selector contact in the inner of the cylinder which is moveable along the path and that's outer end is selectively connectable with one of the contact sections by a respective movement. Respective cables (32, 42, 68) are foreseen to electrically connect the contact sections (16, 18, 20, 22) from the radial outer side of the hollow casing (12, 62), wherein at least some of the cables (32, 42, 68) comprise a respective surrounding outer insulation (34, 44) at least at their respective connected end.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an on-load tap-changer for dry-type transformers comprising an electrically insulating hollow housing extending around an imaginary axis, wherein several electrical contact sections are foreseen along paths on the inner surface of the hollow housing through hollow circles The walls of the barrel are electrically linked, and a selector contact in the interior of the housing, which is movable along the path and whose outer end is selectively connectable with one of the contact sections by corresponding movement. The invention also relates to a transformer with an on-load tap changer. Background technique [0002] A tap changer is a selector switch which enables a selective electrical connection of one output to one of several contact sections. On-load tap-changers have the ability to switch under load current. Typically, the contact segments are arranged along a circular path, wherein the selector contact is rotatable about an ...
