The method comprises the following steps of: according to a received domain name, acquiring an IP list corresponding to the domain name; under the condition that a load balancing strategy of the DNS is a polling strategy, by taking a client node as unit, executing polling to select a target client node; executing polling to the IP on the target client node to select a target IP, and transmitting the target IP. By means of adding a new polling strategy mode on the basis of original DNS server source codes, the method and the device can evenly distribute the load to each node and IP, and thus, load balance of a whole trunking system is realized.
