Abstract

A water heater comprises a combustion device, a main heat exchanger and a secondary heat exchanger. The combustion device combusts gas to produce high-temperature air, and the main heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger are arranged above the combustion device in sequence. When the high-temperature air passes through the main heat exchanger, part of heat energy is absorbed by heat absorbing sheets and a water conveying pipe in the main heat exchange. The high-temperature air with waste heat continues to enter the secondary heat exchanger, and part of the waste heat is absorbed by a heat absorbing pipe set of the secondary heat exchanger, so that water flowing through the heat absorbing pipe set is preheated and then output to the water conveying pipe of the main heat exchanger. The secondary heat exchanger comprises a shell and a cover plate.
