The WIFI network access method comprises the following steps: detecting whether a terminal is converted from a closed state to a start state or not, and if so, starting scanning of wireless WIFI hotspots and scanning the wireless WIFI hotspots in real time; storing scanned available WIFI hotspots in a WIFI storage region, and comparing and analyzing to select an available WIFI hotspot having the strongest signal as the first choice WIFI hotspot; and automatically starting WIFI connection after identifying the first choice WIFI hotspot, establishing connection between the terminal and the first choice WIFI hotspot, and accessing to a WIFI network. By means of the technical scheme, WIFI scanning is started when the terminal is started; WIFI connection is automatically started after the first choice WIFI hotspot is identified; users can be accessed to the WIFI network without manually starting WIFI scanning or WIFI connection; therefore, manual operation of the users is reduced; and the user experience is greatly improved.
