The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring video image information according to an image photographing request input by a user, wherein the image photographing request comprises a slow photographing mode of the video image information, the image photographing request is used for requesting for playing the video image information for the user through the slow photographing mode; according to the slow photographing mode, playing the video image information at a playing frame rate corresponding to the slow photographing mode, wherein the playing frame rate is smaller than an acquisition frame rate of the video image information; and when an image capturing command input by the user is obtained during the playing process, capturing an image corresponding to the image capturing command. Thus, actions of the video image played for the user to watch are slower than that happened actually, the user can accurately locate the image which the user wants to take, and accuracy of image capturing is improved.
