Embodiment approach 1
[0043] figure 1 It is a vertical cross-sectional view schematically showing the structure of the plate support body 1 and the conveying device 4 according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention, figure 2 is a side view.
[0045] The plate 2 is in the shape of a rectangular plate. The plate material 2 is a fragile member such as a glass substrate, for example. In this embodiment, a metal film is formed on one surface side of the plate material 2 by a film forming apparatus described later. In addition, the sheet material 2 is not limited to glass. figure 2 The plate 2 in is square, but also can be rectangular.
[0046] The panel 2 is supported by the panel support 1 in an upright posture along the front-rear direction. Hereinafter, the four peripheral edge portions of the plate material 2 are referred to as an upper edge portion 2a, a lower edge portion (peripheral lower portion) 2b, a front edge portion 2c, and ...

[0118] The plate support body 1 and the conveyance device 4 of the present embodiment have substantially the same configuration as the plate support body 1 and the conveyance device 4 of the first embodiment. Hereinafter, the differences from Embodiment 1 will be described, and other parts corresponding to Embodiment 1 will be given the same reference numerals, and their description will be omitted.
[0119] The mounting parts 3 , 3 , . . . in Embodiment 1 differ in configuration from the mounting parts 3 , 3 .
[0120] The mounting parts 3, 3, ... of Embodiment 1 consist of two adjacent first mounting parts 31, 31 and three second mounting parts respectively provided on the front and ...

Abstract
Provided are a conveyance device and a plate material support with which plate materials can easily be positioned and damage to plate materials can be minimised, and which have a simple configuration. If a plate material (2) is deforming into a convex shape in the downward direction, the sites at which the pressure is greatest between the plate material (2) and mounting sections (3, 3,...) are not concentrated on two adjacent first mounting sections (31, 31), but are distributed between at least two second mounting sections (32, 32) which are disposed at a distance from each another with the first mounting sections (31, 31) therebetween. This is because the plate material (2) comes into contact with the second mounting sections (32, 32) and does not come in contact with the first mounting sections (31, 31), which have a shorter protrusion length from a base (11) than the second mounting sections (32, 32). As a result, damage to the plate material (2) is minimised. The protrusion length of the second mounting sections (32) is uniform, and therefore the plate material (2) is easily positioned by being mounted on the second mounting sections (32). The configuration of the second mounting sections (32) is simple in comparison to previous elastic mounting sections.
Description
technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a sheet material support body and a conveying device for supporting a sheet material. Background technique [0002] A rectangular glass substrate is used for a liquid crystal panel included in a liquid crystaldisplay device. A light-transmitting metal film is formed on one surface side of the glass substrate. [0003] A metal film on a glass substrate can be formed by a film forming apparatus (see Patent Document 1). [0004] The film forming apparatus described in Patent Document 1 includes a substrate holding unit that holds a glass substrate in an upright posture, and a carrier on which the substrate holding unit is mounted. The film forming apparatus forms a metal film on one surface side of the glass substrate while conveying the glass substrate along a predetermined route by moving the carrier inside the chamber. [0005] The substrate holding unit described in Patent Document 1 includes a frame surrounding th...
