Abstract

The invention discloses an access method of an Ethernet virtual network. The method comprises following steps of receiving an address resolution protocol message sent by an accessing customer edge; obtaining the MAC (Media Access Control) address of the accessing customer edge according to the address resolution protocol message; adding the MAC address in a preset MAC route table; obtaining the Ethernet segment identifier of the accessing customer edge; sending an Ethernet segment route containing the Ethernet segment identifier with one or more adjacent provider edges mutually; electing a principle appointed forwarder and a standby appointed forwarder according to the received Ethernet segment route; and periodically sending detection messages to the accessing user edge.
