Abstract

A door lock state display system for a motor vehicle is provided. The system includes a door module and a lock status display module. The door module includes a controller for each door of the motor vehicle, a door lock, and a door lock state sensor. The lock status display module includes a lock status controller, a first indicator for the unlocked status of the vehicle doors, a second indicator for the locked status of all the vehicle doors, and a third indicator for the locked and closed status of all the vehicle doors.
