Abstract

The invention provides a cylindrical surface back projection transformation method. According to a perspective projection principle, a line on a cylindrical surface is projected to a secondary curve. Imaging characteristic of the cylindrical surface is represented through fitting the secondary curve. Correction is performed in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction, and furthermore cylindrical image back projection transformation is realized. When a target object displaces in a front-and-back direction and a left-and-right direction relative to a camera, imaging characteristic change is adapted through correcting the coefficient of a secondary curve, and calibration is not required. Experiment results prove a fact only one calibration is required and a requirement for image transformation in movement of the target object in a small range can be satisfied. Scene adaptability is improved. Furthermore the precision of the cylindrical surface back projection transformation method is equivalent with that of a traditional method.
