The alpha particle noncontact measuring device comprises a number of ultraviolet reflection plane mirrors, at least two ultraviolet sensitive photomultiplier tubes, a high voltage module, at least two fan-in and fan-out units, at least two discriminators, a coincidence unit, a multichannel analyzer and a controller. The invention further provides a method using the alpha particle noncontact measuring device to carry out noncontact measurement on alpha particles. According to the invention, the property that the alpha particles produce ultraviolet light in the air is used, and noncontact measurement is carried out on the alpha particles.
