Abstract

The invention discloses a locked rotor detection method and device. Real-time locked rotor detection is performed on a motor by using the locked rotor detection method based on the current threshold; meanwhile, the locked rotor detection method based on the ripple is started to perform real-time locked rotor detection when real-time current is greater than the current threshold of normal operation of the motor. That is to say, real-time locked rotor detection is performed on the motor by using the locked rotor detection method based on the current threshold and the locked rotor detection method based on the ripple simultaneously when the real-time current of the motor is greater than the current threshold of normal operation of the motor. As for locked rotor detection performed on the motor by using the locked rotor detection method based on the ripple, the detection process is based on generation of new ripple pulses in the ripple signals within preset time rather than the current threshold. Therefore, the detection method based on the ripple signals can be used for effective supplementing when setting of the current threshold of the locked rotor detection method based on the current threshold is inaccurate and the situation of leak detection exists so that effective protection for the motor can be realized and reliability of the protection scheme for the motor can be enhanced.
