The apparatus comprises a storage node that reads a data block stored in a disk and transmitted by DataGuard, a CU (Compression Unit) decompression component that analyzes the data block read by the storage node, a calculation node that performs calculation replaying on the processed data to realize disaster tolerance, and a data transmission network that realizes communication between the calculation node and the CU decompression component. The method comprises the steps that the calculation node requests for data from the storage node through the data transmission network; the storage node reads the data block stored in the disk; the CU decompression component judges whether the data block is a compressed data block or not, and performs decompression recovery if yes or directly transmits the data block to the calculation node through the data transmission network if not; and the calculation node performs the calculation replaying on the received data block to realize the disaster tolerance.
