Abstract

The present invention provides a far field sound source positioning system and method. The system comprises a microphone array comprising at least two microphones, wherein the microphones are used to acquire the sound information of a sound source respectively; a space diversity positioning unit used for establishing a space coordinates system, dividing the space into a plurality of subsets according to the positions of the microphones, and determining the subset in which the sound source is located according to the sound information; a virtual phase positioning unit used for carrying out the virtual phase positioning on each pair of microphones separately, wherein the virtual phase positioning comprises carrying out the virtual phase migration on the two sound information acquired by the pair of microphones to obtain an amplification phase difference, determining a real phase difference according to a corresponding inverse function, and determining an incident angle of the sound source relative to the pair of microphones according to the real phase difference; a statistics positioning unit used for carrying out the statistics analysis on the incident angles and determining the angle information of the sound source relative to the system.
