Abstract

The present invention relates to a torsion beam bridge (1) having a torsion type part (2) of a vehicle. The torsion type part (2) comprises a base (9) having an open cross-section extending in the longitudinal direction (x) and formed by the forming plate. Further, at least one further reinforcing plate (14) connected to the base (9) is provided. According to the invention, the reinforcing plate (14) is arranged so that one of its two opposite top surfaces is on the surface area of the base (9). The reinforcing plate (14) extends only over part of the base (9) with respect to the transverse direction (y) which extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction (x), wherein the reinforcing plate (14) is, in its size, arranged to increase the existing torsional rigidity of the base (9) to a desired torsional rigidity by means of a reinforcing plate (14).
