Abstract

The invention provides a heat treatment process of axle steel. The heat treatment process of the axle steel comprises the following steps that (1) normalizing is conducted for the first time, specifically, the temperature is 840-880 DEG C, the heat preservation time is 3-5 h, and then cooling is conducted to the temperature of 500 DEG C or below; (2) normalizing is conducted for the second time, specifically, the temperature is 800-840 DEG C, the heat preservation time is 3-5 h, and then cooling is conducted to the temperature of 250 DEG C or below; and (3) tempering is conducted, specifically, the temperature is 660-690 DEG C, the heat preservation time is 3-5 h, and then cooling is conducted to the indoor temperature. The invention further discloses an axle which is prepared by adopting the heat treatment process. The problem that existing 41CrMo steel does not have a matched heat treatment process is solved, so that the strength of the 41CrMo steel is guaranteed meanwhile the toughness of the axle steel is improved, and accordingly the comprehensive performance of the axle obtained by heat treatment is improved greatly.
