The pharmaceutical effective component herba ecliptae extract in the chewing gum has a remarkable synergistic effect when being combined with the clove and the herba menthae extract; an in-vitro antibacterial experiment result shows that the chewing gum has remarkable inhibition effects on main bacteria including streptococcus mutans and actinomyces viscosus which cause decayed teeth in oral cavities, so that the chewing gum can be used for preventing and treating oral cavity diseases caused by the bacteria, such as the decayed teeth, pulpitis, periapical periodontitis, gingivitis and the like.
