Problems solved by technology

However, a plurality of gear units installed for power transmission has an adverse effect in terms of operating noise when braking
For example, imprecise control of the coupling (mesh) between gears can lead to noise and vibration when the actuator is operating, and can reduce the durability of the actuator in more severe cases

Abstract

The present invention discloses an electronic disc brake, which includes a disc configured to rotate with a vehicle wheel, a brake caliper housing configured to operate pads installed at both sides of the disc, and an actuator, the actuator having a A piston inside the brake caliper housing that presses the backing plate to attach the backing plate to the disc, a main shaft rotatably installed at the brake caliper housing to make the piston reciprocate, an electric motor configured to rotate the main shaft, and a main shaft configured to rotate the electric motor. The force is transmitted to the spindle reducer. The reducer includes a power connection unit connected to the electric motor, a planetary gear unit configured to connect the power connection unit to the main shaft, and a center pin configured to pass through the power connection unit and the planetary gear unit. The power connection unit includes a driving gear provided at the shaft of the electric motor and a driven gear connected to the planetary gear unit. The planetary gear units each include a sun gear, a plurality of planet gears, a ring gear, a carrier and an output shaft. One end of the center pin is press-fit and secured to the output shaft.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2015-0133890 filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office on September 22, 2015, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. technical field [0003] The present disclosure relates to an electronic disc brake, and more particularly, to an electronic braking system capable of realizing a parking function through the operation of an electric motor. Background technique [0004] In general, a braking device is a device for stopping a vehicle to prevent the vehicle from moving when the vehicle is braked or parked and is used to control the wheels of the vehicle to prevent the wheels from rotating. [0005] An electronic parking brake (EPB) system that electronically controls the operation of the parking brake is widely used today and is mounted on a general-purpose disc brake to perform the function of the parking...
