Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide an anti-theft mode enabling method and device as well as a mobile terminal. The method comprises: judging whether a security application receives verification data; if the security application receives the verification data, matching the verification data with target data of an authentication area of the mobile terminal, wherein the authentication area of the mobile terminal comprises appointed application data storage areas; and if the verification data is matched with the target data of the authentication area of the mobile terminal, enabling an anti-theft mode of the mobile terminal. The anti-theft mode enabling method and device as well as the mobile terminal solve a problem that data loss causes losses when a user carelessly loses a mobile phone, and have a beneficial effect of effectively protecting user data due to identification when the mobile phone of the user is in the anti-theft mode.
