Mantis nymphae fed by the feed have main biological indexes better than those of mantis nymphae fed by living insects, and have an imaginal survival rate of 90% higher than that of mantis nymphae fed artificially. All raw materials of the feed are food-grade or feed-grade raw materials and are easily accessible. The edible gelatin and egg white are used as main molding raw materials so that the artificial feed has physical properties such as water content and toughness similar to those of the natural mantis food. The edible gelatin provides an important protein nutrient for mantis.
