Problems solved by technology

Furthermore, the compensating body [20] of the sliding seal is sometimes difficult or impossible to remove, causing problems when cleaning is required and can lead to hygienic problems
Furthermore, there is a disadvantage that the compressible compensating body [20] in the drinking vessel [10] leads to a dead volume when filling the drinking utensil [1] with liquid, which makes it difficult to correctly record the amount of liquid taken , especially in users of advanced age and / or multiple medical conditions

Abstract

Disclosed is a drinking vessel (1) consisting of a drink container (10) which comprises a body (20) that compensates changes in the liquid level (S) in the drink container (10). The drinking vessel is characterised in that the compensating body (20) comprises an elastic component (21) which, under the influence of weight forces (F) of a liquid volume, enlarges its shape, i.e. the volume of the compensating body (20), and, when the acting weight forces (F) cease, the compensating body (20) returns to a smaller original shape. Advantageously, there is no need for a sliding-movement-based sealing action of the compensating body (20) in relation to to the inner walls (12) of the drink container (10). Therefore, the user does not have to first put the drink container (10) down in order for the liquid level (S) to stabilise.

Description

Drinking utensils with compensators technical field The current invention relates to a drinking utensil [1] for containing a liquid suitable for drinking, especially a vessel such as a glass, teacup or beaker, which consists of a drinking container [10] and a balanceable An object [20] with a change in liquid level (S) in a drinking container [10]. Background technique Many patients have limited head-down angles and are unable to drink from typical drinking utensils such as teacups, beakers, or glasses [1] from a certain amount of fluid onwards. If the patient tilts the head back and stretches as far as possible, the risk of choking is greatly increased due to the open airway. In an emergency, people will take advantage of this and stretch the head as far as possible to open the airway for first aid. But in other everyday scenarios, there is a high risk of liquid intrusion (i.e., inhalation) of the airway when the head is overstretched, such as when drinking from a cup ...
