Abstract

The invention relates to a monitoring device and method for determining the operating condition of a pressure medium operated device. The monitoring device (4) comprises means for processing incoming measurement data (3) related to the operation of the pressure medium operated device (1). An operating state value is determined (12) in said monitoring device, after which said operating state value is compared (13) with input reference data (9) to determine a current operating condition (14).
