Abstract

The invention provides a method for preparing active protein powder with housefly larvae. The active protein powder is prepared from a raw material of the common housefly larvae, and prepared by the following steps: body surface disinfection, centrifugal dehydration, pulp refining, centrifugal peeling, housefly larvae pulp refrigeration, and microwave vacuum drying. At the same time, feed additives and raw materials used for extracting chitin or chitosan are obtained so as to save resources. The method utilizes the non-engineering housefly larvae to prepare food-grade active housefly larva protein powder so as to open up new resources of edible proteins. The selected housefly larvae are not needed to be fed by the hygienic standard of engineering larvae so as to decrease breeding costs of the housefly larvae.
