Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of marine valves, in particular to a side valve. The side valve comprises a valve body, a valve clack, a balance cavity piston, a valve rod, a valve coverand a hydraulic driving mechanism; the valve body is of a hollow structure, the valve clack and the balance cavity piston are all arranged inside the valve body, the balance piston is located in a cylindrical cavity in the middle of the valve body, and one end of the valve rod extends into the valve body to be connected with the valve clack; and the valve cover is arranged on one end of the valvebody in a covering mode, and the hydraulic driving mechanism is connected with the valve rod. The valve rod is driven by the hydraulic driving mechanism so that opening and closing of a main sealing surface between the valve body and the valve clack can be realized, and remote manipulation of the side valve can be realized; and manual on-site manipulation of the side valve is not need, and the working intensity of operators is reduced.
