Abstract

The invention discloses an indoor rice planthopper breeding device and application thereof. The breeding device comprises breeding bottles, a water tray and a bottle holder placed in the water tray and used for supporting the breeding bottles. The breeding bottles are used for cultivating rice and breeding rice planthopper; each breeding bottle comprises a transparent bottle body and a bottle bottom cap, wherein the bottom of the transparent bottle body is provided with a bottle opening, the top of the transparent bottle body is provided with a ventilating window, the bottle bottom cap is detachably connected with the bottle opening and used for bearing rice seedling raising matrix soil, and the bottom of the bottle bottom cap is provided with a plurality of through holes. The bottle holder is provided with at least one groove where the breeding bottles are placed, and the bottoms of the grooves are provided with holes. The water tray is used for containing water for rice growth. Whenthe breeding device is in use, the bottle bottom caps are in contact with water in the water tray. The invention further discloses a rice planthopper breeding method using the breeding device. Due tothe reasonable design, the breeding device has the advantages of being small in size, capable of saving space, convenient to operate and the like and is beneficial to large-scale breeding of rice planthopper.
