Abstract

The invention discloses a comprehensive optimization method for economy and static security of a power system containing a UPFC. The security of the system is superior to the operation economy of thesystem, so that the optimization process of the method is divided into inner and outer layers, the operation cost of the system is adopted by the outer layer as an objective function, an static security index of the system is adopted by the inner layer as the objective function, and the inner and outer objective functions are connected in a manner of adding a penalty term. N-1 static security constrains of the system are considered; and the UPFC has multiple power flow control modes and different modes have different responses when a security failure of the system occurs, so that selection ofthe control modes of the UPFC is throughout the whole optimization process. Solving is carried out by adopting a particle swarm algorithm, objective function values of the inner layer under differentcontrol modes of the UPFC are calculated for each generation of individuals and the optimal control parameter and control mode of the UPFC are selected, so that the calculation result shows that the operation economy and the static security of the system can be obviously improved by the method.
