Embodiment Construction

[0033] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0034] figure 1 Describes resource partitioning methods.

[0035] One: Work offline

[0036] For each program that needs to be executed, use performance analysis tools to obtain information about its resource occupation of processors and memory. Also get resource sensitivity information for the program. The performance analysis tool, such as collectl;

[0037] Two: Work online

[0038] For latency sensitive programs:

[0039] Calculate the resources it should take. The calculation method is as follows: Assuming that the service quality requirement of the program is not lower than 90% of the performance when it is executed alone, then for the sensitivity plane of the program, draw a plane parallel to the X-axis and Y-axis based on 90% of the program performance.

[0040] Then the resource combination of processor and memory occupied by the delay-s...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method of guaranteeing service quality of delay-sensitive programs in a data center environment. The method comprises the following steps: respectively setting a plurality ofresource limit points for processors and memories, calculating resource sensitivity degrees of each delay-sensitive program, which needs to be executed, at the resource limit points, and drawing resource sensitivity degree planes of the delay-sensitive programs; assuming that one of the delay-sensitive programs and a plurality of batch programs are executed on each server node, and calculating resources occupied by the delay-sensitive program in a case of satisfying service quality requirements; setting the occupied resources of the delay-sensitive program; removing the set resources occupiedby the delay-sensitive program, and allocating remaining resources to the batch programs according to needs for use; and executing the delay-sensitive program and the batch programs according to a set result. The method has the advantages that performance of the delay-sensitive program and the batch programs in joint execution can be guaranteed, and at the same time, a resource utilization rate of a system is increased as much as possible.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to parallel and distributed computing, in particular to a method for ensuring service quality of delay-sensitive programs in a data center environment. Background technique [0002] Data centers have gone from concept to maturity. In a data center, in order to improve resource utilization, a large number of programs are executed on as few servers as possible. In a server node, there will be multiple programs executed on a node. The advantage of multiple programs being executed together is that it can increase the utilization of the server, but the problem is that it will lead to a decrease in program performance. The degree of program performance degradation depends on the program characteristics. For some programs, the performance degradation is not obvious when it is executed together with other programs, and for some programs, the performance degradation is obvious when it is executed together with other programs.
