Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a download request processing method which is used for solving the problem that due to long download time consumption, a session link occupies session resources of a server for long time to cause waste of system resources. The method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention comprises the steps of: receiving a download request initiated by a terminal; determining whether a size of a download file required by the download request exceeds a preset threshold; if the size of the download file required by the download request exceeds the preset threshold, releasing a current session link between the server and the terminal; establishing a background thread for downloading the download file on the server; by the background thread, downloading and caching the download file; and notifying the terminal a download completion message, so that the terminal reestablishes a new session link with the server and acquires the download file in a cache. The embodiment of the invention further provides processing equipment.
