The method comprises the steps of performing down-sampling processing, grayscale processing and binarization processing on a received video image in sequence; by using a Gaussian mixture model, performing foreground and background distinguishing on a current frame after the grayscale processing; performing difference operation with a background model of a continuous time sequence image sequence through the current frame, regarding a part greater than a difference threshold in a difference resultas a motion target region, otherwise, regarding the part as background information; by filtering the motion target region morphologically, selecting an object with a maximum connected region greater than a set value as a suspected ship motion object; and by taking a coincidence degree between the maximum connected region and an alarm region as a judgment standard, judging whether ship mark collision occurs or not. The target region can be automatically monitored and detected, so that the subjective influence is avoided.
