Abstract

The long-acting type anti-rat-bitingcable material is prepared by the following method: (1) dispersing gelatin and allyl isothiocyanate into water to prepare mixed emulsion; (2) adding sodium carboxymethyl starch into the mixed emulsion in the step (1) and performing flocculation precipitation; (3) spray-drying the flocculent precipitate in the step (2) to obtain a rat-repelling microcapsule taking the allyl isothiocyanate as a core and the gelatin as a shell; and (4) mixing the rat-repelling microcapsule in the step (3) and matrix resin and extruding to obtain the long-acting type anti-rat-biting cable material. The microcapsule structure of the long-acting type anti-rat-biting cable material can protect the allyl isothiocyanateas from being volatilized and escaped, the long-acting property of the rat-repelling effect is guaranteed and fire disaster accident and economic loss caused by rat biting are effectively avoided.
