Abstract

The invention discloses a molecular marker for identifying a duck reproduction trait based on an adiponectin (ADP) gene and an application of the molecular marker. A CDS (coding sequence) of the ADP gene is shown as SEQ ID NO. (sequence identifier number) 1; and the molecular marker has a nucleotide sequence (shown as SEQ ID NO. 1) with the 430th basic group mutated from G to A. Compared with theprior art, the method of indirect selection of a poultry reproduction trait is provided by using a correlation of various genotypes with egg laying and breeding duck reproduction generated by adiponectin gene polypeptide for adjusting fat metabolism, and via association of the molecular marker of the adiponectin gene with the reproduction trait, and a breeding method of early selection of the duckreproduction trait is established. Since the ADP gene is expressed in an ovary and an oviduct of female poultry, and a testis of male poultry simultaneously, the male poultry can also be selected; and a gap of failure in the selection of the male poultry in the conventional duck reproduction trait selection process is filled in.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of molecular markers, in particular to a molecular marker for identifying duck reproductive traits based on adiponectin gene ADP and its application. Background technique [0002] Reproductive traits are one of the most economically important traits in livestock production and are influenced by fat deposition. Female poultry have excessive body fat deposition during the rearing period and laying period, and the ovaries and fallopian tubes are surrounded and compressed by a large amount of fat, which affects the development of follicles and ovulation, resulting in a decline in egg production. The increase of fat deposition around the uterine glands that secrete eggshells will affect the formation of eggshells and reduce the quality of poultry eggs. The heritability of fat deposition in poultry is 0.3-0.85, showing moderate to high heritability. However, the genetic progress of conventional selection is slow...
