Abstract

The invention provides an L-shaped flange and a design method thereof. The L-shaped flange is used for connecting a tower frame of a wind generator set. The design method comprises the steps of determining initial design parameters; selecting a bolt specification; calculating bolt associated parameters; selecting a tower barrel wall thickness; and selecting a flange thickness, wherein the initialdesign parameters include a flange outer diameter, an initial tower barrel wall thickness, a distance between two adjacent bolt axes, and a distance from a tower barrel inner wall to a bolt axis; a maximum bolt number, a flange inner diameter, bolt external force, maximum bearing capacity of each bolt and a static strength safety reserve coefficient are calculated, and whether a first preset condition is met or not is judged; in the step of selecting the tower barrel wall thickness, if ultimate tension in a current failure mode is greater than vertical force under plastic failure of the towerbarrel wall, the tower barrel wall thickness is reselected; and in the step of selecting the flange thickness, whether a second preset condition is met or not under current flange thickness is verified, and if the second preset condition is met, the flange design is finished.
