Abstract

The method comprises the following steps that: firstly puts forward avariation model which acts on a mesh surface normal vector domain, wherein the model comprises two regular terms including TV and anisotropy Laplacian, and the two regular terms not only can recover sharp features on the triangular mesh but also can favorably process a nonlinear smooth area; secondly, adopting an augmented Lagrange method to solve the variation model to obtain optimized face normal vector information; and finally, according to the optimized face normal vector, adopting a vertex update algorithm to quickly obtain the filtered triangular mesh model. Compared with the prior art,the algorithm has the following advantages that efficiency is high, the quality of the filtered triangular mesh can be obviously improved, meanwhile, the sharp geometric features are protected, the nonlinear smooth area is recovered, and an ideal filtering effect is achieved.
