Abstract

The gas detection module (2) is in gas communication with the cable trench (1) through a gas channel (4). The processing module (3) emits a start signal to a solenoid valve (5) so as to enable the cable trench (1) and the gas channel (4) to be in gas communication, also starts a vacuum pump (7) to controllably pump a preset amount of predetermined gas from the cable trench (1) to thegas channel (4), and emits a turn-off signal so as to turn off the solenoid valve (5) and the vacuum pump (7). A gas sensor (6) detects the concentration data of predetermined gas in the gas channel (4). A processing unit (8) compares the concentration data with a gas concentration threshold value.
