Abstract

The invention relates to a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) intelligent electric actuator and a control method thereof. The actuator comprises a driving part, a transmission part, a turbocharger blade adjusting part and a control device. The actuator obtains position information of a turbocharger blade through a position sensor and transmits the position information to the control device, thecontrol device gives a command to the driving part, the driving part drives the transmission part, accordingly, the turbocharger blade adjusting part is driven, the output end of the driving part is connected with an adjusting rocker arm of the turbocharger blade, and changing of the opening angle of the blade is achieved. The opening angle of the blade is changed through the actuator, an engine can advantageously obtain enough air inflow and air feeding pressure under different working conditions, the output torque and power of the engine are advantageously improved, the fuel consumption rateof the engine is decreased to a certain extent, and the emission performance of the engine is improved.
