The method comprises the following steps of: turning on a cooling mode of an air conditioner, starting timing to obtain first timing time, and controlling an electric car to be tested to perform acceleration at a preset accelerated speed; when the current speed is equal to a first preset vehicle speed, stopping acceleration operation of the electric car, and controlling the electric car to be tested to run at a constant speed at the first preset vehicle speed; when the first timing time isequal to a first preset time threshold value, obtaining an acceleration temperature value; performing timing again to obtain second timing time, and controlling the electric car to be tested to perform idling operation; when the second timing time is equal to a second preset time threshold value, obtaining an idling temperature value; and determining whether the acceleration temperature value andthe idling temperature value are in corresponding preset temperature ranges or not, if yes, determining that the air conditioner cooling test of the electric car to be tested is qualified.
