In order to overcome the growth characteristic that Chinese tallow two-fork branches are prone to forming a bent trunk, three times of trimming operation is conducted in the last ten days of July, the middle ten days of August and the middle and last ten days of November. In order to overcome the spike top phenomenon of Chinese tallow in winter, one robust bud at the upper most portion of the trunk is kept in spring every year, and new buds within the range 10 cm above and below the kept bud on the trunk are removed.
