The water intake device comprises a casing, a water storage chamber, a lower valve and an upper valve, wherein a water inlet is formed in the bottom of the casing, and a water outlet is formed in the top; the water storage chamber is located between the water inlet and the water outlet, and comprises an upper partition and a lower partition which arein sealed connection with the inner wall of the casing respectively, a water inlet channel is formed in the lower partition, and a water outlet channel is formed in the upper partition; the lower valve is located at an outlet of the water inlet channel, the upper valve is located at an outlet of the water outlet channel, and the bottom of the upper valve is fixedly connected with the top of the lower valve through a connecting piece. When the water intake device is put downwards, water in non-sampling depth flushes open the lower valve through the water inlet and flows into the water storage chamber, then flushes open the upper valve and is discharged from the water outlet, and only water samples in the current depth are retained in the water storage chamber. When the water intake device is lifted up, the lower valve covers the water inlet channel, the upper valve covers the water outlet channel, and water in the non-sampling depth cannot flow into the water intake device in the lifting process.
