Embodiment Construction

[0055] Embodiments herein relate generally to a wireless communication network. figure 2 is a schematic overview depicting a wireless communication network 100 . Wireless communication network 100 includes one or more RANs and one or more CNs. The wireless communication network 100 may use one or more different technologies such as Wi-Fi, Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced, 5G, New Radio (NR), Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), Global Communications for Mobile System / Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (GSM / EDGE), Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax) or Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB), to name just a few possible implementations. The embodiments herein relate to the latest technological trends that are of particular interest in the context of 5G, however, the embodiments are also applicable to the further development of existing wireless communication networks (eg WCDMA and LTE).

Abstract

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a radio-network node (110) for handling beam reference signals (BRS) of a beam transmitted by the radio-network node (110) in a wireless communications network. The radio-network node creates BRS blocks, wherein each BRS block comprises a respective group of adjacent subcarriers for the BRS belonging to a port of the beam, and the BRS belonging tothe port is carried over each subcarrier in the respective group of adjacent subcarriers of each BRS block. Furthermore, the radio-network node transmits the BRS blocks spread over a bandwidth in a same orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments herein relate to a radio network node, a wireless device and a method performed therein. In particular, embodiments herein relate to beam reference signals in wireless communication networks. Background technique [0002] In a typical wireless communication network, a wireless device (also referred to as a wireless communication device, mobile station, station (STA) and / or user equipment (UE)) communicates with one or more core networks ( CN) to communicate. The RAN covers a geographical area and provides radio coverage to service areas or cell areas (which may also be referred to as beams or beam groups), each service area or cell area being served or controlled by a radio network node such as A radio access node (eg, a WiFi access point or a radio base station (RBS)), which in some networks may also be referred to as eg a "NodeB" or an "eNodeB". The radio network node communicates with wireless devices within range of the radio network...
