Embodiment Construction

[0032] Embodiments will be described below with reference to the drawings.

[0033] figure 1 An example of the configuration of a computer to which the memory system according to one embodiment can be applied is shown. This computer is an information processing device that executes various programs such as a server and a personal computer. Hereinafter, it is assumed that this computer is realized as the server 100 .

[0034] The server 100 is a computer (also referred to as a "physical server") that provides various services to a plurality of users (a plurality of terminals) via a network.

[0035] The server 100 may also be installed in a data center. Examples of services provided by the server 100 include infrastructure as a service (IaaS) in which an infrastructure such as a virtual server is provided to many users (many tenants).

[0036] The server 100 includes a virtual environment in which a plurality of virtual machines are executed, and the plurality of virtual ma...

Abstract

According to one embodiment, a memory system copies content of a first logical-to-physical address translation table corresponding to a first region of a nonvolatile memory to a second logical-to-physical address translation table corresponding to a second region of the nonvolatile memory. The memory system reads a part of the first data from the first area and returns it to the host computer based on the read request of the logical address specifying the second area based on the second logical physical address conversion table. The memory system detects a block which satisfies a refresh condition from a first group of blocks allocated to the first region, and corrects an error of data of the detected block and writes the corrected data back to the detected block.

Description

[0001] Associate application [0002] This application enjoys the priority of the basic application based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2017-126616 (filing date: June 28, 2017). This application incorporates the entire content of the basic application by referring to this basic application. technical field [0003] Embodiments of the invention relate to memory systems. Background technique [0004] In recent years, memory systems equipped with nonvolatile memories have been widely used. [0005] As one of such memory systems, a solid-state drive (SSD) based on NAND flash technology is known. [0006] In a memory system such as an SSD, it is sometimes necessary to copy data stored in a certain area to another area. [0007] However, such duplication sometimes takes a lot of time. Contents of the invention [0008] The present invention provides a memory system capable of utilizing data stored in a certain area via logical addresses of other areas. [0009] Accordi...
