Abstract

Systems, methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided for skipping TB transmissions in accordance with UCI transmissions. A method includes receiving, by the UE, a configuration message from a network node. The configuration message may indicate to the UE a configuration to skip uplink (UL) transmission when there is no uplink data. The method may then include, for subframes with UL grants, determining whether the UE is requested for uplink control information (UCI) transmission. If it is determined that the UE is requested for UCI transmission, the method may include generating and transmitting a transport block containing a Fill Buffer Status Report (BSR).
