Problems solved by technology

However, this indicator is still subject to many limitations in use, because B 1+rms is based on the assumption of an ideal signal source and ignores the patient's effect on B 1 field disturbance
In addition, factors such as the shape, angle, and placement of electrodes in implanted medical devices may affect RF-induced heating, however, the effects caused by these factors cannot be measured by SAR and B 1+rms characterize
Therefore, using the current SAR and B 1+rms Metrics sometimes do not accurately characterize RF induced heating

Abstract

The invention provides a prediction method and a prediction device for temperature rise used for predicting the temperature rise of an electrode under a magnetic resonance imaging examination i.e., MRI examination. The prediction method for the temperature rise comprises the following steps: acquiring a B1 image of a particular range around the electrode under the MRI examination; comparing the B1image to a B1 image of a background radio frequency field under the MRI examination to calculate a received coefficient of the electrode; determining a to-be-scanned sequence under the MRI examination and a magnitude of a radio frequency field of the sequence, i.e., B1+rms; determining a B1 field within the particular range according to the received coefficient and the B1+rms of the sequence; andpredicting a temperature rise of the electrode according to the B1 field within the particular range. According to the prediction method and the prediction device for the temperature rise, an RF induction heating can be more accurately characterized under the consideration of the shape, the angle, and the placement position of the electrode, and the like, thereby determining the RF induction heating of the electrode based medical device under the MRI examination.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of medical equipment, in particular to a temperature rise (temperature rise) prediction method and device. Background technique [0002] IMD (Implantable Medical Device, implantable medical device) such as DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation, deep brain stimulation) etc. is a kind of emerging movement disorder treatment method. At present, IMD is widely used in diseases such as PD (Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's disease), dystonia and essential tremor. With the development of MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, magnetic resonance imaging) and more and more implantable medical devices, the number of MRI examinations using implantable devices is increasing rapidly. However, there are certain risks in the application of DBS in MRI, among which RF (Radio Frequency, radio frequency) induced heating is one of the main potential risks. [0003] Currently, SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is used as the main index to characte...
