Abstract

The invention discloses an unstructured grid cutting method based on octree and applied to web, and particularly relates to a rapid and effective method which specifically adopts a brand new data insertion scheme when an octree data structure is adopted to store grid data and extracts intersected grids and removes repeated grids when the grids are cut on a limited surface. Node data are stored byusing a data structure, and a new data insertion mode is provided; then, any plane is given to cut the grid, and a series of operations such as determination of a cutting surface, judgment of a tetrahedron intersected with the cutting surface, modification of network topology and deletion of repeated tetrahedrons are involved in the cutting process; according to the method, a complete solution isprovided in the aspect of geometric cutting, aiming at the characteristic of large grid data volume, firstly, an octree is cut, a tetrahedron is extracted from a node penetrating through a cutting surface, then the tetrahedron is cut, and the topology is modified, so that the calculated amount is greatly reduced.

Description

Technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of visualization of unstructured grids in the web. Specifically, it is a new data insertion scheme when using an octree data structure to store grid data, and a fast and effective method for extracting intersecting grids and removing repeated grids when a finite surface is cut. Background technique [0002] Among the many different forms of describing data generated by scientific simulations, unstructured grids represent one of the most complex and difficult forms. In the process of visualization operation, the connectivity of unstructured grid elements or cells in the three-dimensional display is often complicated, and the storage overhead generated is not small. Many visualization algorithms not only need to access the variable values stored at the vertices of such meshes, but also need to apply interpolation to reconstruct continuous fields. For unstructured grids, this problem is particularly difficult: for each in...
