Abstract

The invention provides an adaptive system code FEC (Forward Error Correction) method, device and system based on a media content. The method comprises the steps of: according to importance information, respectively mapping various sub data packets in a source data packet into different pre-set priorities; rearranging the sub data packets according to the pre-set priorities, so that an intermediatedata packet is obtained; obtaining a recovered data packet after performing FEC coding on the intermediate data packet; adding an index field into the recovered data packet; generating correspondingsignalling information according to the recovered data packet, wherein the signalling information is used for indicating the sub data packets of the recovered data packet in the various priorities, and the proportions of the sub data packets belonging to the corresponding priorities in the recovered data packet; and finally, sending the recovered data packet and the corresponding signalling information to a terminal side. By means of the adaptive system code FEC method, device and system based on the media content in the invention, the data redundancy due to FEC is reduced while the quality ofthe media content is ensured to the most extent; coding and decoding of a system code are relatively flexible; a source data flow does not need to be shunted; and the FEC coding efficiency is increased.
