The mechanical arm includes a base, a capturing unit, and a positioning unit, whereinthe capturing unit and the positioning unit are arranged on the base. The capturing unit includes a capturing rod connected to the base horizontally in a sliding manner. Besides, a cylinder for driving the capturing rod to slide is also fixed on the base; a sliding rod is arranged at the capturing rod horizontally in a sliding manner; and a vertical connecting rod is fixed on the sliding rod. Clamping claws are hinged to the upper and lower ends of the connecting rod. The positioning unit includes a positioning rod hinged to the base; a torsion spring is arranged between the positioning rod and the base; a sponge block is fixed at one end, being close to the conveyer belt, of the positioning rod; a bar-shaped hole is formed in the end portion of the positioning rod; and a protruding blockis fixed at the end portion of the sliding rod.
