Abstract

The invention discloses a process for removing elemental sulfur in desulfurization and denitration acid-making wastewater. The process comprises the following steps that (1) acid is added to the acid-making wastewater to adjust the PH of the acid-making wastewater to be 2-3, so that the elemental sulfur in the acid-making wastewater is precipitated; (2) activated carbon powder is added to the wastewater treated in step (1), full stirring and uniform mixing are conducted, and activated carbon adsorbs the elemental sulfur precipitated out of the wastewater; (3) the wastewater treated in step (2)is subjected to gravity sedimentation; (4) the wastewater subjected to gravity sedimentation in step (3) is subjected to precision filtration. By means of the process, the PH value of the acid-makingwastewater is adjusted to make the elemental sulfur in the wastewater precipitated, then the elemental sulfur is adsorbed by the activated carbon, after adsorption, a majority of the activated carbonadsorbed with the elemental sulfur is settled by gravity sedimentation, through precision filtration, the activated carbon adsorbed with the elemental sulfur in the wastewater is further removed, andfinally, the elemental sulfur in the acid-making wastewater is effectively removed.
