The method comprises the following steps: analyzing a to-be-processed XML file to generate an XML object tree; generating an intermediate object tree according to the XML object tree, wherein each XML node in the XML object tree is in one-to-one correspondence with each intermediate object node in the intermediate object tree; generating an HTML object tree according to the intermediate object tree, wherein each intermediate object node is associated with each HTML node in the HTML object tree; synchronously editing and processing an intermediate object node associated with the HTML node in the intermediate object tree, and generating an edited intermediate object tree; converting the edited intermediate object tree into a new XML object tree; and converting the new XML object tree into a new XML file. It is guaranteed that information in the XML file can be adjusted, the problem that newly-added information is lost is solved, and the problem that deleted information is not deleted is solved.
