The omni-directional detection system comprises a pluralityof detection sensors, a data storage module, a data computing module and a center control module, wherein the multiple detection sensors are arranged on the mobile robot and used for carrying out omni-directional detection on the surroundings of the mobile robot; the data storage module is used for storing preset parameters and postback data of the detection sensors; the data computing module is used for computing the preset parameters of the detection sensors according to the data in the data storage module; and the center control module is used for updating the preset parameters of the detection sensors according to a computed result of the data computing module and used for controlling the postback data of the detection sensors to be stored in the data storage module; and if detection zones of the two detection sensors are intersected, the two detection sensors with the intersected detection zones are arranged on different heights of the mobile robot.
