The method comprises the following steps of: establishing a radar observation model according to the characteristics of the radar station for observing a target; forecasting the missile trajectory by using the forecasting method of Encke method; and acquiring the forecast data of the radar handover moment according to the radar observation model and the trajectory forecast data. According to the method, the radar cross-over time forecast data are obtained by establishing the radar observation model and applying the Encke method to trajectory forecast, the operand is small, the operation time consumption is short, and the calculation accuracy of the cross-over time and the state quantity is high; error analysis is provided, and an error ellipsoid at the time of the handover is described through a covariance matrix to carry out visual display; and simulation experiments show that compared with the traditional method, perturbation factors in missile movement are considered, long-time integration can be performed, operation time is short, calculation precision is high, and the method has high application value for forecasting of radar handover time.
